Stanley Tiger Romanek (born December 1, 1962) is an American author and the subject of the documentary Extraordinary: The Stan Romanek Story. He is best known for his compelling and controversial experiences with extraterrestrial beings. Romanek has publicly shared his deeply personal accounts of alien abductions, telepathic communications, and other extraordinary events that he believes are beyond the scope of ordinary human understanding. Despite the skepticism surrounding his claims, he remains resolute in his conviction that what he has experienced is real.

Romanek's journey as an alleged alien abductee began in 2000, when he had his first encounter with a UFO. Since then, he claims to have had numerous encounters with extraterrestrial beings, which have shaped his life and understanding of the universe. Among the most striking of these experiences, Romanek has described discovering strange wounds on his body that emitted a mysterious glow under black light, as well as having telepathic interactions with alien entities through a device he refers to as a "ghost box."

In addition to these eerie experiences, Romanek has asserted that he was followed by UFOs on multiple occasions, both while driving and at his home. His encounters have included direct contact with beings that he believes communicated with him mentally. One particularly unsettling episode occurred in 2003, when Romanek claims to have woken up to find himself wearing women's flannel underwear. This bizarre discovery led him to suspect that he had been abducted and returned wearing clothes that didn’t belong to him. Over time, Romanek came to believe that the clothing might have belonged to Betty Hill, another well-known figure in the UFO community.

When asked about the possibility of testing the clothing for DNA to confirm its connection to Hill, Romanek explained that the testing would have been too costly to pursue. He stands by the authenticity of his experiences, asserting that they are part of a larger truth that is difficult for many to comprehend.

Although the evidence for Romanek’s extraordinary claims remains elusive, his persistence in sharing his story speaks to the conviction with which he believes in the reality of his experiences. Despite the challenges of providing concrete proof, Romanek continues to advocate for the recognition of his encounters as legitimate, firmly standing by his belief that humanity’s understanding of extraterrestrial life is only just beginning.
